Renovated Meeting Rooms for Conferences and Corporate Events at House
of Culture Helsinki Located in Helsinki’s Alppiharju district, Kulttuuritalo is an iconic example of
Alvar Aalto’s modern architecture and is upgrading its meeting facilities for
autumn 2026.The renovated meeting rooms offer a practical and stylish
setting for seminars, meetings and corporate events. Located on the building’s
second floor, the bright and flexible meeting rooms accommodate groups of
10–120 people and are being updated with refreshed interiors and modern
technology.
”We are responding to growing demand from event organisers by upgrading
our meeting facilities. The meeting rooms will be equipped with large LED
displays, while refreshed interiors will create a more comfortable and
welcoming atmosphere. The rooms can easily be combined to accommodate
groups of different sizes. Our in-house restaurant team provides catering for
every occasion, from breakfast meetings to table-served dinners. We want our
guests to host memorable events in a setting that reflects the unique character
of Alvar Aalto’s architecture,” says Emilia Mikkola, CEO of Kulttuuritalo.
Host Your Corporate Event at a Future UNESCO World Heritage Site?
Kulttuuritalo is one of the 13 buildings designed by Alvar Aalto that make up
the Aalto Works nomination for the UNESCO World Heritage List. A decision
on the nomination is expected at the end of July.
One of Alvar Aalto’s finest red-brick masterpieces, Kulttuuritalo showcases the
architect’s distinctive use of materials and forms. Alongside its iconic brick
exterior, the building features extensive use of wood and copper, while Aalto’s
signature curved lines and innovative architectural details continue to impress
visitors. Most of the furniture and lighting throughout the building were also
designed by Alvar Aalto.
Designed for performances, conferences and public gatherings, Kulttuuritalo
has hosted international conferences as well as concerts by some of the
world’s biggest music artists throughout its history. The iconic Aalto Hall has
welcomed performers including Jimi Hendrix, Queen and Lady Gaga.
