We warmly welcome you to perhaps the most iconic event venue in Finland.

For over 60 years, the House of Culture has been entertaining and delighting audiences in Helsinki.

What do Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Ella Fitzgerald, Queen, Lady Gaga, and Robin have in common? All of them have performed on the main stage of the House of Culture, the Aalto Hall. Designed by Alvar Aalto, the House of Culture still pulses at the heart of Finnish music and event life.

The House of Culture is an open cultural and event venue equipped with modern presentation and meeting technology. The house has a total of 12 different spaces, suitable for various events, meetings, and celebrations. The House of Culture is located in Helsinki's Kallio district, conveniently near the Linnanmäki amusement park.

Inaugurated in 1958, the House of Culture has been drawing full crowds since the 1960s. The house holds a significant place in both Finnish music history and Finnish architecture.

Alvar Aalto's touch is particularly visible in the curved shape of the building, its organic details, and its interior design. Built through volunteer work, Kultsa is a unique example of the power of craftsmanship and detail.

Come and explore The House of Culture, attend a concert, organize a meeting, or even come for lunch.

According to legend, Alvar Aalto sketched the first draft of the House of Culture on the cover of a Klubi cigarette pack.
